1) Punchlines ~ The old Punchlines forum is being phased out in favor of online conversation right here in this blog. It's easy to take part! When you click on the "Read more" link at the end of an article, you'll be diverted to a detail page where the entire content of that article resides. At the bottom of that page you'll find a box with the heading "Add A Punchline (Comment)." There you can compose and send a Punchline comment about the article. If you'd like to comment on another article, just submit a Punchline on the detail page for that article. Please limit Punchline comments to 250 words (about 3 paragraphs).
Note that all Punchline submissions will be screened by your editors for approval before we post them to the blog. This is necessary for SPAM prevention. When you submit your comment, it will be automatically fowarded to us.
2) Submit An Article ~ If you would like to post a blog article, just click on one of the "Submit an article" links in the header. For articles from or primarily about the United States, click "Submit an article (USA)." For articles from or primarily about the UK or other parts of the world, click "Submit an article (UK/world)." If you have photos or graphics to accompany the article, please send these as e-mail attachments, preferably JPEGs under 300k.
We look forward to hearing from you!

Excellent idea!
I have created some new categories to help organize our articles. You'll find them in the sidebar.
Thanks for the suggestion!

This is a really wonderful new blog format, and once the Punch world is aware of it it will be a site to be a regular contributor of. Looking at the home page menu bar, I noted you have not allocated a section for Bits O' Business, this would be a great addition if this can be done. I must at this stage give congratulations as to concept of this blog.

Here's an example of a comment with a visible (but SPAMbot-protected) e-mail address.
Add a Punchline (Comment)
Note: You must provide a user name (of your choice) to post a comment. You may also provide an optional e-mail address, and it will be displayed (SPAMbot-proof!) with your comment. To use a displayed e-mail address, copy it into your e-mail software and replace "a~t" and "d~o~t" with the appropriate symbols.
Comments must be approved before being published.
